Tieto is now looking for a

PROCUREMENT & SOLUTION ADVISOR

within IT-hardware solutions to work for the technology procurement team situated in Espoo. The Procurement & Solution Advisors task is to support the organizations need for certain contract negotiations, purchasing and senior advisory service prior to purchase in the defined categories.

Main tasks

- Assist internal stakeholders to define and specify the optimal solution to satisfy the needs prior to purchase from external supplier.

- Participate in certain Production and Customer projects to gather all needed information from suppliers.

- Contribute to offering development with industries and Service Line by cooperation with internal Offering teams and major suppliers.

- Establish internal customer contacts to be prepared for future needs by early involvement in projects.

- Support Industries with procurement technology knowledge for

Solution’s within the area of responsibility.

- To achieve the best solutions from best suppliers regarding e.g. configuration, specifications and architecture.

- Provide detailed cost analysis on different scenarios on different technologies on different licensing options from different suppliers including development and measurement of TCO and ROI.

- Negotiate contracts with Category Manager as needed.

- Contribute in sourcing of alternate vendors.

- Manage and support vendor negotiations and relationship-building.

- Make RFQ, negotiate and place purchase orders where needed.

- Direct purchase orders to purchasing team or place order with preferred suppliers.

- Regular follow up of vendor’s performance according to SLA.

- Have a TCO approach in all Sourcing and Purchasing activities.

- - Assist with development and management of vendor portfolio and maintenance of structured and good vendor relationships.

- Actively contribute in using and developing procurement tools.

- Participate in continuous learning and professional development activities.

- In a positive way add value to the company image against both suppliers and customers.

Work experience required

- Several years procurement background, ideally with experience in category-based organization in a service oriented environment within hardware technology area.

- Microsoft Windows and Office tools, especially Excel is important.

- Basic knowledge of procurement systems, experience in Oracle iProcurement system beneficial.
